Things to Bring

Your child will need to come to nursery dressed in suitable clothing and ready for action!

We use the garden daily (weather permitting) so your child will need seasonal clothing such as a sunhat and labelled suncream or coat and wellies. At Head Start we believe it is vital for your child to have time to run and play in the open air, to let off steam, to feel the grass between their toes in the warmer months, splash in the puddles on the damp days and make snowmen on the colder days.

As we have our own nursery garden the children tend to the plants, water and weed on a regular basis. They love watching their seeds grow into food to be eaten or beautiful flowers to simply enjoy.

We have nursery clothing which you will receive as part of your registration fee. This consists of a red Head Start top of your choice and a bag to keep spare clothes in. If you wish to buy additional nursery items including a t-shirt, polo shirt or sweatshirt, these are available to purchase from the manager.

You will need to ensure you provide a complete change of clothes for your child each session (just in case).

Please make sure your child’s items are named, as all Head Start tops simply look the same!
