Head Start Day Nursery offers a really flexible solution to all your childcare needs.

  • Head Start Day Nursery is open at Milton Keynes Village for 42 weeks of the year.
  • We are open for half terms, just closed for two weeks at Christmas and Easter plus six weeks in the summer.
  • We are open from 9.00am to 1.15pm, (AM session) Monday to Friday.
  • We are open from 9.00am to 2.30pm (Activity Day) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
  • We can offer an early start (limited places) from 8.30am.

ACTIVITY DAY £25.75
EARLY START £3.50

We make the most of our beautiful surroundings by going for walks, visiting the mobile library and holding an annual sports day on the green. We also have an annual Christmas play and summer leavers graduation for all our ‘big’ children before they go off to school.

We cater for children from 18 months to 5 years of age in two main rooms. We are slightly different to the other Head Starts in as much as we are open for 42 weeks of the year and from 9 to 2.30 (we can take children from 8.30 am if parents wish.) This puts us in a unique position of offering a quality alternative to the many full day nurseries in Milton Keynes where you have to attend all year whether you like it or not!

We have firm foundations in early learning and links with many schools in Milton Keynes, it is often reported back to us from teachers that you can always tell a Head Start child, because they have (if you will excuse the pun) a Head Start with their learning. All the children who attend our Nursery are given every encouragement in all they do, they will all achieve in their own time, at their own pace and when they are ready. However, what we offer is a wonderful environment to facilitate their learning experience.
