“I think I must have visited every nursery locally. As soon as I went inside Head Start I put my son’s name down there and then as it was clean, airy and the staff were friendly and kind to my needs. I felt that my son would be happy there and I was right, 4 years on he is still there, he loves going to nursery and has made some lovely friends, his teachers are both kind and supportive. “Our daughter has been going to Head Start since she was ten months old and she really enjoys spending time here. Her speech and social skills have developed brilliantly as she is playing and interacting with people her own age which she would not be able to do at home. The flexible hours has allowed me to go back to work and the nursery were more than happy to work around my husband’s shifts. We especially like the daily Communication Book which we found helpful to follow what our daughter has been doing that day. The nursery really likes to be involved in all aspects of our daughters developments and the friendly staff always take an interest in what she does when she is not at nursery.
